Aid workers killed in central Burma

Aid workers died on the road side of Thanatpin Village / CJ

Three humanitarian workers were shot dead yesterday evening at the Thanatpin village of Myaung Township of Sagaing Region in central Burma.

All three of deceased aid workers were from Sanpya Humanitarian Organization from neighbouring town of Yesagyo from Magwe Region, according to the People’s Media. All of them were killed on the roadside while returning from their humanitarian mission for nearby town.

No one claimed to responsible for the killing of the aid workers, however, local believed that the possible culprit is the security force loyal to the Burmese military regime State Administration Council (SAC).

Myaung Township is located 100 kilometres west of Burma’s central city Mandalay and its’ on the Sagaing and Magwe Region.
