Angle Lamung at the anti-coup protest

A Kachin model and beauty pageant title holder Angle Lamung has been recently listed as the Burmese military coup authorities’ wanted person for her involvement and supporting anti-coup Civil Disobedient Movement (CDM).

Angle Lamung was issued a warrant by the State Administration Council (SAC)’s by using article 505/a of the penal code on last Friday, according to military owned Myawaddy TV. She was accused of instigating public insurrection against the military authorities by distributing materials via Facebook.

Anyone who being charged with article 505/a would faced three years in jail without bail. The military regime recently modified to use against individuals who involve in Civil Disobedient Movement which striving to overthrow the military coup regime.

“I’m satisfy with whatever happen to me as I’m the same with people.” Angle writes on her Facebook page. “Thank you everyone who cares about me.”

Angle Lamung was crowned as the Miss Intercontinental 2014 pageant in Berlin, Germany, representing the country of Burma.

Angle was one of the long list Burmese celebrities who were issued warrant by the military authorities. The list includes Phwe Phwe, Thet Mon Myint, Nyi Nanda, Aung Myint Myat, Kawni, Zin Aung, Novan Htoo, Kyar Pauk, Nyi Htut Khaung, Waso Moe Oo, Htet Shine Aung, Myat Thu, Aung Si Thu, Sithu Win, Nan Myat saw, May Oo Maung, Kyaw Ye Htun, Hnin Thwe Yu Maung, Mary and Angle Lamung.
