The first ever Kachin State Business Forum will be held in the State capital Myitkyina in the middle of this month, striving to boost the local business industry.
The business forum welcomes all the interested business person from all over the country and will focus on discussing tourism, textile and technology industry, said Mung Ring La, CEO of Tends Capital Management. The forum also aims to boost the local business and better relation with business owners from around the country.
Mung Ring La, an organizer of the forum, gave invitation message about the business forum which will be held November 15 to 16 at the Manau Park in Myitkyina. Tends Capital is an investment company which invested about five business sectors, especially in telecommunication, tourism and meat processing industry in Kachin State.
One of the key topic of the business forum is the China’s Belt & Road Initiative as Myitkyina is situated on the historic Ledo Road which was built during World War II by Allied Forces, linking Ledo, India to Kunming, China.
In May 2018, Kachin State government signed memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Yunnan Tenchong Heng Yong Investment Company to implement the China backed Myitkyina Economic Development Zone, also known as Namjim Industrial Zone. The project is estimated to cost over US $400 million to build nearly 500 factories and 5,000 buildings.
The Kachin State Business Forum is organized by Kachin National Business Association, also known as KASH, and sponsored by Mynet, Star Light, Lucky Bakery and MM Bus Tickets. The forum ticket is sold at 20,000 kyat (US $13).
